A short cultural programme accompanies the dinner — typically a live oud or qanun ensemble, followed by a traditional tanoura (whirling dervish) performance and a Bellyance segment. The programme is discreet and well-choreographed; it does not overwhelm the evening.

The cruise runs for two to two-and-a-half hours; you return to the mooring at approximately 22:00 or 22:30, and your driver returns you to your hotel.

Photography is easy on the open deck; the low light rewards a lens with good aperture. Practical advice: dress smart-casual; the evening breeze on the river is cool even in summer, so a light layer is useful. Modest dress is not required but is respectful. Family suitability is very good — children respond well to the boat, the river and the dance programme. Accessibility is partial — the boarding gangway can be steep.
