InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah opened in 2022 on the Mina Al Arab coastal reserve and quickly became one of the two or three most-booked five-stars in the emirate. The resort sits on a naturally protected beach with unusually clear, calm swimming water — a genuine differentiator against the Al Marjan Island cluster where currents can be stronger. Architecture is understated contemporary IHG with a low, horizontal massing, generous sea-facing balconies and a large central pool court framed by shade trees. Dining is one of the property's strengths: Levant (Arabic mezze and grill), Fish Beach Taverna (Mediterranean seafood at the sand), Kimpo (contemporary Japanese), plus lounges and a pool grill — six outlets in total. The spa is a full-service Anhelo Spa with hammam, sauna and eight treatment rooms; wellness runs to a yoga pavilion and a well-equipped fitness centre. Rooms and suites are generously sized, all with balcony and most with sea view; family rooms and two-bedroom suites are quietly the best-value family option in RAK. Kids club is properly staffed. Location is 45 minutes from Dubai International Airport and 15 from RAK city, with mangrove kayaking, birdwatching and cycling in the adjacent nature reserve.
