Bear Grylls Explorers Camp

Bear Grylls Explorers Camp is the UAE's only wilderness-styled adventure lodge and Ras Al Khaimah's most distinctive activity property. The camp sits at 1,250 metres on the Jebel Jais plateau, in a canyon just below the UAE's highest road, and is co-branded with adventurer Bear Grylls to a genuine survival-and-outdoor-skills concept — not a themed hotel with a name attached. Accommodation is in fixed safari-tent suites and canyon-facing cabin rooms, all with proper bathrooms, insulated walls, real beds and full linen; this is glamping in the correct sense of the word, not camping. Dining is a single lodge restaurant with a mountain-hearty menu (open-fire grills, hot stews in winter, packed lunches for excursions). The programme is the point: guests choose from a rotating list of half-day and full-day activities — abseiling, rock climbing, night navigation, campfire cookery, survival skills workshops — all run by qualified UK-standard mountain instructors. Jebel Jais summit, Jais Flight zipline, Via Ferrata and the mountain toboggan are all within 10–20 minutes. Weather can be sharp: 25 °C days can drop to 10 °C at night in winter. Adventure-minded couples, families with teens 12+, and MICE groups looking for a genuine offsite are the natural fit.
