Anantara Mina Al Arab RAK Resort

Anantara Mina Al Arab RAK Resort opened in 2024 as Anantara's first UAE flagship north of Dubai, and is the most architecturally interesting new-build in Ras Al Khaimah in a decade. The resort sits on the Mina Al Arab coastal reserve on the mainland side of RAK, with a mixed inventory of beachfront resort rooms and stilted over-water villas that reach out into a protected mangrove lagoon — the only over-water accommodation on the UAE mainland. Design is Thai-Arabian with dark wood, hand-woven cottons, brass detailing and generous outdoor terraces; the over-water villas have direct lagoon access via steps from the private deck. Dining includes the flagship Beach House (Mediterranean seafood), Mekong (Pan-Asian) and a signature seven-course tasting menu by an Anantara-programmed guest chef schedule. Wellness is anchored by the Anantara Spa with hammam, six therapy rooms and a full ayurvedic menu. Water activities include mangrove kayaking, paddleboarding and guided birdwatching in the adjacent nature reserve. Kids club is present but low-key; the resort skews couple- and honeymoon-first. Location is 45 minutes from Dubai International Airport, 15 from RAK city. This is the correct choice for guests who want something visually and geographically distinct from the Al Hamra beach cluster.
