Overview

The story

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is the emirate's most photographed and least understood building. On a private guided visit you learn the story: the world's largest hand-knotted carpet, the seven Swarovski chandeliers, the 1,096 marble columns inlaid with mother-of-pearl, and the resting place of the UAE's founding father.

We time the visit for late afternoon so you enter under blue sky, watch the marble turn gold at sunset, and leave under floodlights.
